Ratevora

Context

Local assemblies in Ghana assessed and collected property tax on paper, making revenue slow to track, hard to audit and easy to lose between survey and payment. Ratevora digitizes the full chain — from property survey to billing to reconciliation — into one workflow field agents can run on the ground.

What I did

• Designed and built the frontend used daily by field agents and assembly staff.
• Implemented the survey, billing and reconciliation workflows against the platform's REST APIs.
• Shaped the UX around real field conditions — fast data capture, resilient forms and clear billing states for agents working away from a desk.
• Built reusable, typed React components so new assembly rollouts could reuse the same workflow.
• Worked directly with stakeholders across assemblies to adapt the interface to how revenue is actually collected.

Outcome

Shipped a workflow that took property revenue off paper: field agents survey, bill and reconcile properties in one system, giving assemblies a traceable view of collection for the first time.
